Definition: A style of thought characterized by fear, suspicion and agitation. A person suffering paranoia may have delusions of being persecuted, or delusions of grandeur and importance.
Examples: Paranoid schizophrenia is a type of schizophrenia in which the primary symptoms involve extreme agitation focused on beliefs of being persecuted or a focus of attention.
